Our Commitment

Black Barrel Armouries Ltd is committed to making bbauk.co accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across all public-facing pages. Under the Equality Act 2010, we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure disabled users can access our services.

How Accessible This Website Is

We have designed bbauk.co with accessibility in mind. The following features are in place:

  • All pages use semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate by region
  • Interactive controls (buttons, links, form fields) are keyboard-focusable and labelled
  • Text contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA requirements across standard page content
  • Images include descriptive alt text where they convey meaningful content
  • Form inputs include visible labels and accessible error messages
  • Page titles are descriptive and unique to each section

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are working to address them:

  • The investor NNN signature pad requires a mouse or touch input and is not operable by keyboard alone. If you need to sign the NNN agreement but cannot use the signature pad, please contact us — we will provide an alternative method.
  • Some data visualisation charts in the investor portal may not provide a text alternative for all data points. We are reviewing this.
  • PDF documents (signed NNN agreements) may not be fully accessible to screen readers. If you need an accessible version, please contact us.

Technical Information

bbauk.co is built with Next.js and rendered as server-side HTML. We rely on the following technologies for accessibility compliance:

  • HTML5 semantic elements
  • WAI-ARIA roles and attributes where native HTML is insufficient
  • CSS (Tailwind CSS) — no accessibility-relevant content is conveyed through CSS alone
  • JavaScript — all core content is available without JavaScript

How We Test

We carry out manual accessibility testing during development using keyboard-only navigation and screen reader spot-checks (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS). We also use automated tooling (axe-core) to identify common issues. This statement was last reviewed in October 2026.
